CPCS in Belgium and Ukraine
Live Love Dream ASBL
The CPCS Alliance’s social initiatives in Belgium and Ukraine are carried out by Live Love Dream ASBL, a Belgian non-profit organisation and member of the CPCS Alliance. It now extends our work into Europe, building on our international commitment to protecting children and young people in vulnerable situations.
Live Love Dream acts where needs are greatest, alongside children, families and educational teams facing sometimes immense human, social and institutional challenges.
OUR BELIEF
Our belief is simple and deeply rooted: children’s rights are universal and non-negotiable. Defending them means acting both through major public policies… and through the small gestures of everyday life. One step, a presence, a smile, or timely support can be enough to transform a child’s life journey.
THE BELGIUM WORK
In Belgium: supporting children in care and young people at risk
In Belgium, nearly 18,000 children currently live in residential care, specialised institutions or foster families. In addition, one in five children lives below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold. Many enter support services with backgrounds marked by family breakdown, trauma, school dropout or social isolation.
Educational teams do remarkable work, often in challenging conditions. Yet resources are still lacking to fully meet the everyday needs of children and young people, particularly when it comes to:
- Basic material needs
- Educational and learning projects that are insufficiently funded
- Often limited cultural, sports and leisure activities
- Support towards independence after reaching adulthood, a particularly vulnerable period
Live Love Dream in Belgium
Live Love Dream works flexibly and complements existing support systems. It does not replace institutions, but brings care, solidarity and those little extras that can make a real difference:
- Targeted support for residential centres, care homes and youth centres
- Funding for educational, school or sports equipment
- Support for pilot projects that foster connection, self-esteem and the transition towards independence
- Pilot projects supporting young people leaving institutional care (mobility, temporary housing, coaching and positive activities)
- Direct support for educational teams facing complex situations
UKRAINIAN WORK
In Ukraine: concrete, material and human Support
Since 2022, the war has profoundly disrupted the lives of more than 7.5 million Ukrainian children. Millions have been displaced; others live in areas affected by bombardment; all are exposed to fear, trauma, educational disruption and the loss of essential points of reference.
In response to this reality, Live Love Dream has built a bridge of solidarity between Belgium and Ukraine.
Live Love Dream in Ukraine
We work exclusively with trusted and recognised partners, some of whom are connected to the CPCS Alliance or are experienced Ukrainian NGOs.
- Sending several ambulances to areas where emergency response capacity is insufficient
- Providing essential medical equipment (first-aid kits, stabilisation equipment and medical supplies for children)
- Sending toys, educational games, recreational and psycho-educational materials to centres welcoming displaced children
- Providing technical support to local stakeholders (centres, municipalities and social workers) on child protection, aid management and psychosocial needs
- Supporting educational and psychosocial initiatives in areas affected by the war

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Live Love Dream is built around a simple idea:
Changing a life does not always require millions. Sometimes, one small step is enough.
A game given to a child, an ambulance delivered, a school trip organised, a caring ear, emergency assistance…
These are the small lights that can illuminate the darkest moments.
Every child deserves to live, every child deserves to love themselves, every child deserves to dream.
As part of the CPCS Alliance, Live Love Dream wants to be one of those helping hands.
